Who we are
Manchester Mobile Mechanics is a trading name of Grouprai Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16770668). We are the data controller for the personal information you give us through this site, over the phone, or on WhatsApp.

We collect the information you give us when you book or enquire:
- Name, address, postcode, phone number
- Email address (optional)
- Vehicle registration and the details we look up against it (make, colour, year, fuel type, MOT expiry, MOT history status)
- The job you need doing and any notes you add
- The campaign source that brought you to the form, if it is present in the page URL
We also collect basic technical information when you use the site: pages viewed, approximate location based on IP, device type. Analytics data is only collected if you accept cookies.
03
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Send you a price and a slot for the job you asked about
- Reach the right address with the right parts on the day
- Keep MOT due dates current where you give us a registration
- Take payment and keep records HMRC needs us to keep
- Reply to questions and complaints
- Understand which adverts and local pages create booking enquiries
- Improve the site (only if you accept analytics cookies)
We do not sell your information. We do not run third-party advertising on this site.
04
Lawful basis
Under UK GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Performance of a contract for the data needed to quote, schedule, and carry out the work you book.
- Legal obligation for invoice and tax records (typically retained six years after the end of the tax year).
- Consent for analytics cookies, which you can give or refuse in our cookie banner and change at any time.
- Legitimate interests for keeping operational records of jobs (so we can support you if something needs revisiting), measuring booking sources, and protecting the site against abuse.
06
International transfers
Some of the processors above (Supabase, Vercel, Twilio, Resend, Google) are US-based. When your data is transferred outside the UK we rely on UK-approved safeguards: the UK addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision where one applies. Each provider commits to those safeguards in their data processing terms.
07
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need to:
- Enquiries that do not become bookings: deleted after 12 months
- Bookings and invoices: retained for six years after the end of the tax year, to meet HMRC requirements
- Analytics data: kept for 14 months in Google Analytics, then automatically deleted
- Marketing communications: we do not currently send marketing email or SMS
08

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask what data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your data, subject to legal retention rules
- Ask us to restrict or stop a particular use
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
